While looking through the Hollywood High website..My father went to school there I'm thinking 1929-1933..I know he mention it when I was 10 or 12 years old. He passed away in 1961,his name is almost exactly the same as mine..he was Frederick Dominic Von During.
The last name is two words Von During, although during WWII he temporarily changed it to Fred D. During so he could enlist and fight Germans. Anyway, I didn't know where to start..I guess if there is a list of student names from…

Start planning your reunion too and get your fellow Sheiks involved...it's not that hard, these grads didn't even use a professional company and their event came out very professionally!…

Growing up Sheiks Football
World famous Hollywood High School is known around the globe as a premier platform for producing global celebrity icons. Growing up in Hollywood was the best life experience in the universe.

Since I had been approached about the 1963 Hollywood High School class reunion, I was doing a little poking around online for any 1963 "look back" information and material and found a really interesting article about the 1963 Corvette Z06 on here and you'll enjoy reading the car articles in the process. The story is on pages 28 and 29.

Jerry Melton, the first Magnet Coordinator at Hollywood High, filmed some of the productions at the school with his VHS camcorder (back in the 80's when the Magnet began). These videos have been in his personal library all these years. Mary Melton, his daughter and also a graduate from the Hollywood High Magnet program, has generously donated these tapes to Friends of Hollywood High as a fundraising opportunity.

Hi administrators for the web site!
I think this email should be directed towards Carole Wells.
My name is Neil Menzies S64 and I was responsible for getting the museum display for Heather Menzies put together along with Jeanne Hon and Jerry Massey.
I came across another alumni who I feel should be recognized via the museum. His name is Randy Tuten S65. Randy was a prolific and extremely talented artist while he was at Hollywood High.…

The contents of this post do not necessarily represent the views or policies of the Hollywood High School, its employees or students; nor the Alumni Association.
Due to the present world situation and especially the Arab World, I think it’s time for HHS to change the image of the Arab Sheik (the Valentino movie idol of the 1920s) to a more fitting and modern icon and politically correct representation of a local high school.

I received these lyrics from the 1971/1972 class reunion organizers and I was sure curious how many different ways this has been recorded and sung. If you'd like, you can record your version on YouTube and post a link in the comments below.
