While looking through the Hollywood High website..My father went to school there I'm thinking 1929-1933..I know he mention it when I was 10 or 12 years old. He passed away in 1961,his name is almost exactly the same as mine..he was Frederick Dominic Von During.
The last name is two words Von During, although during WWII he temporarily changed it to Fred D. During so he could enlist and fight Germans. Anyway, I didn't know where to start..I guess if there is a list of student names from…

Well Sheiks, it looks like the folks from 1991 and 1992 had an amazing reunion last night and the grads from those years held their joint reunion. The photos of food, fun and festivities can be found on this Facebook group:

Since I had been approached about the 1963 Hollywood High School class reunion, I was doing a little poking around online for any 1963 "look back" information and material and found a really interesting article about the 1963 Corvette Z06 on here and you'll enjoy reading the car articles in the process. The story is on pages 28 and 29.

Hi administrators for the web site!
I think this email should be directed towards Carole Wells.
My name is Neil Menzies S64 and I was responsible for getting the museum display for Heather Menzies put together along with Jeanne Hon and Jerry Massey.
I came across another alumni who I feel should be recognized via the museum. His name is Randy Tuten S65. Randy was a prolific and extremely talented artist while he was at Hollywood High.…

I received these lyrics from the 1971/1972 class reunion organizers and I was sure curious how many different ways this has been recorded and sung. If you'd like, you can record your version on YouTube and post a link in the comments below.

ContinueFour and a half years ago – when I first stepped foot on the American soil in the JFK international airport on a layover flight from Moscow to Los Angeles, I was clueless. With only a slight understanding of English, no actual life plan and $50 dollars in our pockets, my mother and I arrived to our new apartment not too far from Hollywood High School. Thinking it was a good idea for me to learn English prior to attending high school, I…

The 1967 American musical film starring legendary Julie Andrews was adapted to the stage and the Hollywood High School's opening night yesterday was nothing short of amazing and I've seen many Broadway plays. This was good, really and truly great actually. Except for the fact that middle-aged characters were being portrayed by teens, I completely lost track of the fact that…
