Hi Mala, So good to hear from you, I am going up to Bishop, ca. to help my cousin after her surgery , leaving Friday, so will miss the alumni day. Is your arm healing, hope so. Glad to know that you stay in touch with the Berman family. There were so many kids to play with on the street where we lived, those memories are strong. Really like the colors you use in your art, calming. Let me know how Alumai day is if you go. Take care,Jeri , myjessyboy@verizon.net
What a pleasant surprise to get your message. It has been a long time. Before I forget, my e-mail which might be easier to use is: lmraab58@yahoo.com. I don't think that I will be at the June event either. To short of notice for me to make it to LA. I am currently living in Apache Junction, about 40 miles or so east of Phoenix. We have been moving around a bit, lived up in British Columbia for a time since my wife is Canadian and spent some time working in Bellingham, Washington before coming down south to the desert. Are you still in LA ? And what's with the hand surgery, hope it's nothing serious. Are you in contact with any other of the Cheremoya group ? What a flood of memories you brought back to me. Good ones and then of course there was Edward Vincent Dockweiler III for the 6th grade. Anyway, write when you can and we can talk more.
Thanks again for the note, wonderful to hear from you.
Hi Mala, We had Modern dance class together with Miss Helen Pointer,I will always remember. I was glad to see your artwork and your smiling face in your picture. We also played together as little kids at your cousins, Brian,Teddy,David,Hilda and the dad Berman, our dear neighbors. Hope to talk to you soon. Jeri(lynn) Porter
Wonderful to see you are still doing art.
I am well and spend part of the year home in Georgetown, Texas.. so we can be close to our grandchildren.
About 10 years ago I closed my clothing store in Santa Monica (had it for 25 years.) and we build a house on the beach in Silverstrand, Ca... just south of Sant Barbara.
I am involved in so many things...
Still do art...
My father passed away last Dec. at the great ge of 96... My sweet mother passed away a couple of years ago at 85.
I miss them both.
Still happily married to Bob... 25 years this May.
It is good to her from you.
I clearly remember our days at Cheremoya... and, I can still see the faces of your mother and father. Strange the things we recall. Your father was so nice.. I remember his being at our home quite often
Not sure that this will get to you...As my other emails to you disappeared.
Lisa
Just typed a rather long response back to you but just as I was ending it it disappeared!!
I will try again..
I am great... Happily married to Bob... 25 years this May.
Heather, my daughter is 40... and lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and 2 children.
e have a second home in Texas so we can spend more time with them.
Delighted to see you still do art.
I retired after 25 years.. It was difficult giving up my store on Montana Ave. but I needed to so I could spend more time doing the things I love.
We built a house on the beach near Ventura about 10 years ago.
I remember your mother and father. I can see their faces... Funny the things I remember.
Hope you get this email
