Rollin' On The River with Kenny Rogers and The First Edition:
Not being very techie, I was very impressed to learn that we could restore and preserve this historic 1970s classic television series by transferring the old 2 inch tape, called quad format to digital format, which improves the picture and sound quality.
If you enjoy the Rock n' Roll and R&B music of the '60s and '70s, you will enjoy the "Remember" DVD. We have received many, many glowing reviews from the entertainment press. Many of these reviews are posted on the http://www.rememberthe70s.com/ web site.
Bill Holland and I have had fun recalling old cars, old flames and the like. Pass along your email address to me or contact me at william.brewer@hydrodec.com.
We love Seattle. We actually live in West Seattle about a stone's through from Salty's on Alki restaurant---if you know the area. I usually walk about 5 miles/day along Alki unless it's covered with snow and ice (as it was last year). It's so great to hear from you. I too remember you fom a ton of classes. Geez---you even remember the fetus in Mrs. Kopf's class. Some how I knew that you would be a lawyer some day---you just had a certain something in those days that pre-destined you for law. Wow, one son with a degree in aquatic biology and living in Jakarta no less. What a great city in a great country. I attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo for 2.5 years but got my undergraduate degree (in biology) and my MS (in Marine Biology) from Cal State Northridge---so your son and I would speak the same language. I speak pretty fair Palauan (Palau Islands) and Chamorro (Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands) but never spent enough time in Indonesia to get confortable in Bahasa Indonesia. Please do send me your personal email address and we can continue this. Amongst the people I've been in touch in the last few months are Susan Ellis, Gayle Richee, Gwen Mancuso, Alex Krajeski, John Bylo, and Shari Title. Gary Girard, my close friend in high school and my roommate in the dorms at Cal Poly passed away about 5-6 years ago.
I'll be in touch later. Please note that I signed up at this Hollywood High website a number of months ago, but have never used it until I got that earlier message from Bill Holland. I'm also signed up in Facebook (at my daugher/grand-kids insistenct) but I don't really know my way around in Facebook. There are some wife, car, fish pictures I think in my Facebook page, but to me it's earlier to communicate via email.
I was contacted by William (Bill) Holland a few minutes ago. Bill remembered me bringing a California king snake to a science class one day. I hit his "friends" list and there was your name. I remember you from lots of clases. I wound up with a couple degrees in biology and spent most of my career as an environmental consultant working in the Pacific Islands, Asia and Latin America. My new wife, of 5 years, and I live in West Seattle. I chase steelhead, trout and salmon with my fly rod(s) in my spare time. I'm presently working on a proposal for "Marine Ecosystem Management-Indonesia" with a company out of Washington D.C.; I'm also engaged in a couple oil refinery projects (enviromental permitting) for Hydrodec in Canton, OH and Laurel, MS. I recently signed up for Facebook; but I don't know how to play around in Facebook or this HHS web site. You're welcome to contact me at william.brewer@hydrodec.com if you want to touch base.
