Good afternoon, David!
In anticipation of the 2nd reunion planning committee meeting being scheduled for Sept. 20th 5P-7P (pls. contact Valerie Gumbiner Weiss for more info at valkgw@gmail.com), I have offered to assist her by posting an updated message on the Community Blog steering members of our class (actually Winter AND Summer Class of 1970) over to the newly-minted Class of 1970 public comment board, exclusive only to members of our class year registered on hhsalum.org and no one else, where I have started a discussion thread and encourage fellow classmates to keep adding to it...not just the proposed bid to move out of Summer and into Fall with an alternate Saturday between Labor Day and Columbus Day weekends....also for venue suggestions, ideas and willingness to help us secure at well negotiated rates, photography/videography, music, catering, etc.
Hope your summer is going well !

Hello, David! Glad you joined. Check the Events board on the Class of 1970 reunion news. Valerie Gumbiner Weiss is planning the second reunion committee meeting sometime in August (the week after next, I think it is) and I know she will post that on the announcement page (News) of the hhsalum.org site. Or, since I'm pointing it out to her, she will probably contact you directly. Saw your brother on this site as well & wrote to say hello. It's a bit hard to see tiny you in the foreground of that great backdrop...clearly as you intended it isn't it? I never realized Lisa Rose was not in our class. She apparently emailed Valerie to tell her -- after I sent her a message the same day I sent yours -- she was in the Class of 1971.???!! Why did I always think she was our age?

P.S. I have not forgotten my mission for you, but everything has been taking a back seat since Christmas with the arrangements, and errands surrounding the passing of my mother and the private memorial I have planned at Ellis Island to commemorate her arrival to this second chapter of her life more than 60 years ago from Amsterdam. It has taken ALL of the last 7 months to settle her accounts, handle the cremation and shipment of the ashes, arrange the permit and make other plans related to the New York trip, taking care of my husband through all this -- twice more in the hospital, having to put my Holocaust trace project on hold just when I was breaking some ground....I am exhausted and now I have to prepare for Darrow's week with us and have only 4 weeks left to do it in!!
