Please see my latest (newest) blog post inviting any member of Classmates.com and friends of other neighboring classes (1968-1972) to help recruit and send us classmates they may know how to find. For the time being (until you and Mark Garcia connect and he helps you establish a special CLASS OF 1970-40th Reunion link), I have blogged that any class members who are still in touch with Class of 1970 members and who know how to reach them to please refer them to you at your page or me at my page (where of course I can refer to you once I get more personalized email addresses). I also included in that new post this evening the message that VOLUNTEERS are needed on the Class of 1970 Reunion Committee and to please check in with your page to log comments and inputs about that. You can then create a list and cross check names with the Alumni Office to ensure that some scrabblers aren't trying to come aboard who are NOT in our class (or designate someone to do this) so we don't have any more bad Tim Salaver experiences. Let me know if you want me to add anything to that blog because there is an EDIT POST feature I can use to update or add any extra news you would like to relay.
I now -- besides Diane White -- heard also from Karla Marks, both of whom I directed to your page in my emails to them both. If you don't hear from them by Friday, let me know and I'll try to let them give me their emails so you can contact them. Anyone else I hear from -- between Classmates.com responses and responses I get to my page here, I shall certainly direct them to you. It would probably be a good idea, though, to compose something for either the Community Bulletin Board, here, or the Newsroom, about a contest you could design: The Classmate Credited for Recruiting/Referring the Most Number of Former Students to You could win some kind of a prize (for those not able to attend, it's a no-brainer incentive prize: a copy of the Reunion Video plus T-Shirt designating the Class Year (1970) AND the Year of this Reunion, without having to say 40th Reunion (ouch!). Another idea you might consider, to offload some of the burdens all on your shoulders, is to encourage Reunion Committee members of our 40th to register on the www.hhsalum.org so they can absorb some of the new referrals as well (or, at least one or two others besides you). If you don't mind, I feel really comfortable communicating with you so without bothering you too much, I will try to help you as much as I can from here on the Class Member referrals. Maybe, whether I am able to attend (I'd like to) or can't, I could bring so many students back to your circle that I could WIN this incentive prize I just suggested!!
Hope all is well! P.S. Check out the other photos I posted on My Page!
