I have great memories of trying out for the varsity football team in the very hot summer of 1972!!!!!!....hell week it was called...wow was that ever the truth!
I remember coach louis birmbaum--getting upset with me and hitting me on top of my helmet with my chin strap!!!!!! how about meeting coach barry brown!....what a guy...i was part of his practice squad....they called us the brown bombers!!!!!!
And how can I forget losing a heart breaking first game at home agiast hated rivel fairfax!
I will never forget seeing running back billy carter in tears after the game!
Anyway...looking forward to hearing from any other player from the 1972 varsity football team!!!!!

All in all it was still a great time in life....I remember the players well because they were pretty darn good.
