Growing up Sheiks Football

World famous Hollywood High School is known around the globe as a premier platform for producing global celebrity icons.  Growing up in Hollywood was the best life experience in the universe.

Aside from many activities, football and baseball were the choices for the neighborhood kids who roamed the streets after school.  I came to Hollywood High School in the spring of 1994 and immediately joined the football team.  All of my neighborhood friends that…

Jerry Melton, the first Magnet Coordinator at Hollywood High, filmed some of the productions at the school with his VHS camcorder (back in the 80's when the Magnet began). These videos have been in his personal library all these years. Mary Melton, his daughter and also a graduate from the Hollywood High Magnet program, has generously donated these tapes to Friends of Hollywood High as a fundraising opportunity.

Betty Jean Le Brick Moore Class of Summer 1942 died on March 12, 2012 in Laguna Hills where she had live for the last few years since her husband Clifton A. Moore died.
