SUMMARY:HHS CLASS OF 1944 70th REUNION!
DESCRIPTION:70th reunion nears\n \nPlans for what could be the last r
 eunion of the class of 1944 are in the final stage of completion.   
 The planning committee opines that it will be a festive event  that w
 ill long be remembered, one that grads won’t want to miss.\n \nThe 
 class gathering will take place at the Smoke House, 4420 Lakeside Dr.,
  Burbank, just across from the Warner Bros. Studio at 5:00 PM, June 6,
  2014.\n \nThe date is important because it was 70 years ago that our
  armed forces stormed the beaches of Normandy.  It seems fitting that
  the 70th reunion be dedicated to all the men and women who proudly se
 rved our country on the battle field as well as on the home front.\n 
 \nThe program will begin by Hollywood High JROTC presenting the colors
  with the flag salute being lead by Louis Ramirez who will serve as th
 e Emcee for the evening.\nThe menu includes the choice of three entree
 s:  chicken, catch of the day, or Tri Tip of Beef served with salad, 
 a side dish and veggies with ice tea or coffee and a baked dessert.  
         A commemorative wine glass that you can keep will be pr
 ovided for the champagne-punch toast and dinner wine.\n \nEntertainme
 nt includes a monologue by Kayla Teel, an accomplished actress of thea
 ter, and a reading of Life as it was in 1944 by Guyla Cashel, and then
  a final walk down Memory Lane.\n \nTotal cost for the evening is $50
 .   This includes dinner (taxes and gratuity), souvenir wine glass, 
 the toast, dinner wine, and related incidental costs.

 e and confirmed by May 10.   Please complete the enclosed reservatio
 n form and return to Lloyd in the envelope provided by this date.   
 I will be on my way to California with several stops in between after 
 May 10, so I need your help in completing details before I depart.
